User Reviews about Magellan Maestro 4040 4.3-Inch Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator (Factory Refurbished)

The GPS was all that it described to be. I was glad I bought it. -- A dependable GPS
I replaced this item (Magellan Maestro 4040) after having the original stolen and obviously was quite pleased enough to replace it, and the replacement was delivered promptly and in excellent condition. I am very pleased with my experience from Amazon with this transaction. I'll definitely being doing business with Amazon in the future. Thank you, Andy -- Magellan Maestro 4040 GPS
I happened to go to Canada and Hawaii this year, so I wanted to pick up a GPS that had those maps. After searching for a bit, I found this unit on Amazon for about $80.

It does everything I expect it to including:
text to speech
Alaska (haven't tried), Hawaii, and Canada maps
a lot of Points of Interest

I like that it can figures out my current location fairly quickly. It seemed to take my Navigon 5-10 minutes to pinpoint the current location.

One negative is the user interface isn't as intuitive as some other GPS systems I've used. If I don't use it for a few weeks, I forget how to save new locations.

Overall, great value for the money. -- Maestro does everything I want it to
This is much better than the Garmin Nuvi. Once you power it on it only takes a second to be ready and recognize your position. The Nuvi would take minutes sometimes. The navigation is excellent as well. When there is an immediate turn after another the first it show you both in advance. This is really helpful! -- Super fast position recognition
